Jazz drummer from Berlin. He launched the bebop band \u201cChessmates\u201d and the \u201cYusef Lateef Tribute Project\u201d at a young age. Andreas, being the powerhouse of the big bands \u201cBlue Babas NOW!\u201d, \u201cBlue Baba Swing Big Band\u201d and \u201cJive Park\u201d, shaped their sound for years before he began to dedicate himself to smaller line-ups. He toured Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands together with the singer Marith\u00e9 Van der Aa in the contemporary jazz group \u201cfabula\u201d, played numerous concerts and won competitions abroad in this line-up. Many of his own compositions found their way into the songbook of this successful band.<\/p>\n

Andreas has committed himself to jazz music from very early on. While playing sensitively with brushes and sticks, he is always curious and attentive of a new musical situation, but never forgets to swing when the music calls for it! He names the Ray Brown Trio, Oscar Peterson Trio and the Count Basie Big Band as the biggest influences on him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Israeli pianist and composer. Daniel first studied Classical piano and composition at the \"Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance\", but, with Omri Mor, Itai Rosenbaum, Slava Ganelin and Shoshana Cohen<\/span> found his way into Jazz. In the multicultural city of Berlin, he recorded several different solo and duo albums \"My Journey to Venus<\/span>\" and \"First Meeting\" (with Julia Bilat, cello) and met Andreas on stage at jam session. He toured with him in the band fabula, played concerts in clubs and at Jazz festivals in the whole of Europe and, for example, USA, Israel, South Korea, Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

Daniel draws influences from Jazz and Swing, together with World Music and Tango, Jewish dance music He brings this music to life in a very personal way and expresses it through the original language of his emotional playing and his complex compositions. He masters every Swing clich\u00e9 and never ceases to surprise his audience, always with a smile on his face...<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Roz Macdonald is a Scottish double bass player, currently based in Berlin, Germany. She studied at Leeds College of Music where she received the Yamaha Jazz Scholarship for outstanding musicians. Since graduating, she has had the opportunity to study and work with some prestigious jazz musicians including Scott Hamilton, Bruce Barth, Perico Sambeat and Ren\u00e9 Marie. Since moving to Berlin, Roz has been actively playing concerts, composing and teaching on the vibrant jazz scene as both a side-woman and with her own projects.<\/p>\n

Her warm, inventive and at the same time precise, experienced and uncompromisingly swinging playing is a real exception in the jazz landscape. Through her tasteful improvisation full of excitement and surprise Roz gives her audience an unforgettable experience every time she plays.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Flemish jazz singer. She studied with Judy Niemack and Greg Cohen at the Jazz Institut Berlin, after which she was awarded a master\u2019s degree in musicology at the University of Oxford. After working for BBC Radio 3 for a year, she now sings in various different settings and projects, and mentors aspiring conservatoire students who are in the process of auditions.<\/p>\n

Her voice has been described as \u201cliquid\n gold\u201d by those that have heard her sing, \u201cas if being hugged by a long lost loved one\u201d. With her large dynamic range, she is always able to touch and draw in the audience. A long history together in Berlin as well as numerous competitions and tours through Europe connects Marith\u00e9 and her band members.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Seemingly effortlessly, he plays atmospheric modern jazz with the Hans Anselm Quintet one night, Afro-Dub-Funk in the horn section of the band \"WANUBAL\u00c9\" the next, before finally free big band music with the Pascal Klewer Big Band is on the calendar. Nachdem sie ein Jahr lang f\u00fcr BBC Radio 3 in London arbeitete, singt sie in den verschiedensten Settings und Projekten und ist gleichzeitig Mentorin f\u00fcr aufstrebende Musikstudenten, die sie durch ihre Aufnahmepr\u00fcfung am Konservatorium begleitet.<\/p> <p>Die, die Marith\u00e9 singen geh\u00f6rt haben, beschrieben ihre Stimme gerne als \"fl\u00fcssiges Gold\" und \"so, als ob man vom lange verlorenen Liebsten umarmt wird\".
